CUSTODIAN?

We are all captivated by good stories. Art tells stories differently from the spoken or written word. Sometimes they are instantaneous, all at once and over in a flash. Sometimes they are a real slow burn, lingering and smoldering on. And sometimes art just bends the rules and resets the boundaries of what we know or knew and took for granted, because it has found a way to do so. Reconvening on conventions and always asking, why?
At Studio Custodian we select artists who choose their medium consciously and carefully to underpin their dialogue and enhance their story. This can be to purposely create obstacles in executing a piece of work. Other times it is to ensure their message is understood. A story can also be in the sharing of an emotion, it does not always need a middle, beginning and an end.
Art is the best endeavor humanity has come up with and we have been producing art for thousands of years. Our artists draw from the history of art, while standing on the shoulders of the giants who suggested that this might be something worth keeping. And so we watch over the art of our times, preserving and keeping it safe for generations to come, as in the scheme of things we are merely the custodians of the wonders of our world.
